Woodturning
The Guild runs woodturning classes for beginners and is seeking interest. The format will be similar to that described below.

The class runs on Saturday and Sunday on two consecutive weekends (a total of four days), from 10am until 4pm, and will be held at either Tawa or Naenae MENZ Shed. Numbers are limited so get in quick once we send details of the next course.
The classes follow the syllabus for NAW Level 1 Introduction to Woodturning. Each student is required to complete a set task which takes approximately 2 hours. Typical Tasks include:
• Lathe use and safety
• Turning a small bowl
• Turning a honey dipper
Pricing
The course costs $335 and includes Guild membership. The next course is scheduled for September 21st & 22nd, 28th & 29th.
The Guild will provide the lathes, tools, materials and training. Any works you create will be yours to keep.
